Are you interested in knowing more about the Tarot? Is your Tarot deck sitting on a shelf because you’re not sure how to use it? Welcome to Introduction To Tarot! This class is for beginning Tarot enthusiasts and those who want to refresh their skills.
Tarot is a magickal, mystical tool that can be learned and used by anyone. Tarot IS NOT fortune-telling. Tarot IS a way of connecting with your Higher Self, your guides, and the Divine to lead a more fulfilled and empowered life.
Tarot can help you:

- determine the likelihood of an event
- and more!
The class includes information on the origins of Tarot, the major and minor arcana, the suit and court cards, methods of working with the Tarot, a quick reference guide for all 78 cards, and also contains useful Tarot spreads. We will discuss the imagery of as many of the cards as time permits and will also do some practice readings.
While the course focuses on the Waite Tarot, the information presented is applicable to all Tarot decks. You’re encouraged to bring Tarot decks you already own for comparison.
At the end of class, you will understand how to use the Tarot, have several simple Tarot spreads to work with, will understand the meaning behind many of the Tarot images, and will have practiced reading the Tarot.

Tarot As Storytelling - 3 Hours
Take your tarot reading to the next level. This class provides practice in interpreting the “story” told by the cards. We will review interpreting the cards individually and then look at the tarot spread’s “big picture.”
Since tarot energies are fluid rather than static, we will exercise our tarot minds by rearranging the cards and watching the various stories unfold. Join us for play and practice!
Tarot For Introspection - 3 Hours
The tarot is an excellent tool for spiritual growth and understanding. In this class, we will determine the individual Major Arcana cards that relate to our own lives, i.e. our Life Card, our Soul Card, our Year Card, and our Zodiac Card.
Then through a guided meditation, we will discover the guidance these cards offer us and how we can grow through the gifts, challenges, and opportunities they present.
Tarot Games - 2 Hours
This class is generally held monthly. Each session includes several games. Possible activities include using the cards to find lost objects, acting out tarot “dramas”, using tarot cards as a way of communicating, and using tarot with TV news stories.
You don't need to be proficient in tarot to attend this class, however basic knowledge of the cards is required.
The goal of this class is to expand your knowledge of the cards by having you use them in unusual ways. Bring your tarot deck and a sense of adventure!
