VII - Strength | Knight of Wands
VII - Strength
Imagery: A woman wearing garlands of flowers is holding open the mouth of a lion. The lion is not resisting. The woman has an infinity symbol or lemniscate over her head.
In this card, we see a person controlling her wilder or baser instincts. She does so gently and with ease. The lemniscate shows this balance. This month is a time for balance, patience, and gentle control. Be compassionate with yourself and others. Do what needs to be done, but with ease and grace rather than with pressure and frustration. When things seem to get the best of you, just breathe through them.
Knight of Wands
Imagery: We see a knight holding his wand upright and riding a horse. The horse’s gait is active but well-controlled.
Knights are about action and this knight is ready for anything. This month be ready to tackle what needs to be done. Use the balance of the Strength card to complete your projects with equanimity. If you find that you don’t quite have what it takes to do what needs to be done, enlist the help of someone. If you look at the imagery of the two cards, you can see that the Knight of Wands is riding to assist the woman in the Strength card in any way he can. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
