IV - The Emperor
Imagery: An Emperor sits on his stone throne and holds a scepter and a globe, symbols of his power and domain. A large mountain range is behind him.
Emperors take care of their empires and the people who live there. They’re solid, make good decisions, and in this case may be a little complacent.
Page of Pentacles
Imagery: A Page stands on green grass and holds a pentacle. The area behind him is verdant, and a field is ready to be planted.
The Page of Pentacles is about new beginnings, fresh starts, new projects and undertakings.
Look at the interaction of the people in these cards. The Emperor looks away from the Page. He seems too preoccupied with running his Empire to consider any new projects the Page might suggest. In the meantime, the Page just goes ahead and starts a new project, not caring if the Emperor approves or is even aware of him.
This month, take a break from your busy life and your “to-do” list. Take off the heavy cloak of the Emperor and his responsibilities. Embrace the Page. What new projects have you been putting off? Now might be the time to plant that field and see what grows!
Key Thoughts for September:
Throw off routine and responsibilities, open yourself to new projects and possibilities.
